![]() Credit Unions are based on the philosophy of “People Helping People.” Their commitment to service is second to none. From their humble beginnings, credit unions have grown and prospered because of a deep-rooted belief in the idea that people can realize dreams when they work together. The North Rockland Educational Federal Credit Union was chartered in 1977 to serve the employees of all school districts in Rockland County. We now also serve the employees of the Rockland Teachers’ Center, The Haverstraw King's Daughters Public Library, the Rose Memorial Library, and the Tomkins Cove Public Library. With our assets of approximately $12 million and growing, we proudly serve over 2,800 members. As a not-for-profit financial service cooperative, we can return earnings to our members in the form of higher rates for savings, and lower rates for borrowing. Members’deposits are insured up to $250,000.00. The National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) is the federal government agency that charters and supervises federal credit unions, and insures savings through the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF). Our office is conveniently located in the Liberty Square Mall on Route 9W in Stony Point. |
